ICT Watch Selenggarakan Google Policy Fellowship

Indonesian ICT Partnership Association (ICT Watch) menggelar program Indonesian Google Policy Fellowship. Program yang disponsori oleh Google ini mencari mahasiswa Indonesia (baik program sarjana, master, maupun doktor) yang tertarik dengan dinamika internet sebagai media baru di Indonesia untuk menjadi policy fellow.

Mahasiswa yang terpilih dalam Indonesian Google Policy Fellowship ini akan mengikuti aktivitas di ICT Watch secara fulltime selama 10 minggu yang dibagi dalam 2 periode. Selama periode waktu tersebut mahasiswa atau peneliti yang terpilih melakukan penelitian tentang kebijakan Internet di Indonesia terutama yang berkaitan dengan kebebasan berekspresi dan partisipasi masyarakat. Tidak itu saja, mahasiswa yang terpilih akan mendapatkan uang saku dari Google sebanyak 7500 dollar Amerika.

Pernahkah mengukur menggunakan speed test untuk mengakses halamannya?

Sedikit informasi saja, ternyata Google sudah menyediakan beberapa tools yang berkaitan dengan kecepatan web.  Dan banyak juga developer lainnya yang menyediakannya. Misal yg ada di halaman ini; http://code.google.com/speed/tools.html .

Kali ini saya akan membandingkan web yang sudah saya buat bersama Sisfo Development Team IT Telkom dengan beberapa web populer lain, seperti social network yg usernya sudah tidak diragukan lagi banyaknya. Perbandingan ini berdasarkan score yg diberikan oleh Google melalui Page Speed Online-nya. Cekidot!

Kedua domain di atas merupakan aplikasi yg sama. Codename: iGracias. Sistem informasi akademik paling baru untuk IT Telkom. Memperoleh score 82 dari 100 untuk academic dan 79 dari 100 untuk akademik.

Google+ lahir karena Google merasa meskipun hubungan antar individu semakin intens melalui interaksi online, tapi keharmonisan dan subtansinya didunia nyata hilang karena sifat kaku dari jejaring sosial.
Dan Google+ diharapkan dapat membawa nuansa dan keragaman baru dalam dunia jejaring sosial, dengan cara mengikutsertakan relasi dan minat para pengguna Google.
